Autumn Leaves

It's that time of the year again… The leaves are slowly starting to turn yellow, orange and red. The weather is getting chilly, and the fireplace is lit.

I was supposed to go to school today (as usual) but I feel exhausted and my head is hurting so I decided to stay home and relax with a cup of tea and ELLE magazine.

5 ways to style a leather skirt!

I've always loved leather when it comes to fashion. My leather jacket is and has been my best friend, for several years now. I probably wear it in 95% of my outfits. Recently I invested in a good leather skirt and I am completely in love with it! Leather is so in fashion this fall, and I wanted to be prepared so I put together some outfits to find out how I wanted to style it, and I thought I would take some pictures to show you!

Crop Top: H&M

The first outfit I wanted to be sporty and simple. Since the skirt is high wasted, it's perfect to pair with a crop top, like this one.

Bralette: Cubus

This outfit I also wanted to be fitting for summer, but a little more on the girly side. Sticking to the crop tops, I chose a crochet one and paired it with this super cute black, lace bralette.

In this outfit I paired the skirt with a sheer blouse. Just like the last outfit it's a bit revealing so I put on the same bralette underneath. I wanted this outfit to be a bit dressier so I added some red lipstick and a pair of tall pumps.

This outfit is perfect for when the weather gets a little bit chilly. I really love the combination of these to pieces. The stripes kind of distracts you from the kind of edgy material of the skirt, and the result is a very soft look.

Boots: Din Sko

This is kind of the same outfit as the previous one, but with a chunkier, knit sweater. I love the combo of leather and knit material. This look is perfect for fall/winter days, and if it gets really cold (like here in Norway) you can always put on a long-sleeved sweater and leggings underneath.

I tried to keep all these looks really simple and with few accessories, so it will be easy for anyone to style these outfits in their own way.

This summer…

I found an amazing bathroom, so I obviously had to take a selfie in the mirror...

I went to the best festival ever!

I hung out with friends and got to feel like a child again...

I saw some beautiful sunsets...

I spent time with my family (aaaand my dog)...

I ate a lot of amazing food.

Wow… I just realized how few photographs I have taken this summer. But I guess that's a good thing - it shows that I've had a good time and not worried about showing everybody how much fun I've had. I go back to school on monday… It's really insane to think about… This summer has passed by so quickly.

Rainy day

Where I live (in Norway) we usually don't have much nice weather in the summertime. But this year has actually been amazing. In the past few weeks we've had over 30 degrees celsius every day, which is insane for Norway. I didn't get a chance to go on holiday outside go Norway this summer, so it has been nice to have such amazing weather here at home.

But you know when you live in a country like Norway, sooner or later the rain (or snow) is coming. And today it came. I actually quite enjoyed it, with a cup of hot tea, and I also took the opportunity to take some photos for you. Hope you like it.

I have spent this evening watching a movie and eating tacos with my sister. Very relaxing.

Mini Book Review: "Allegiant" by Veronica Roth

This isn't really a book review... just a little rant. For anyone who has not read this book; go do it. Now. This series is amazing! Absolutely fantastic!

And for those of you who have read this book; can we frickin' talk about the ending?!
 I was at work (I work at a cafe), and it was very quiet that day so I decided to finish this book. And I was sitting there behind the cash register crying my eyes out... I legit had to put the book down. Because I was starting to freak out customers...

Again: this book/series is amazing - if you haven't read them... do it. Now.

Hi! My name is Helene. I haven't had a blog in about three years, so it feels a little bit strange writing this right now...

Oh... and this is me btw.

I'm not really sure why I feel the need to have a blog right now...I guess it's kind of in the title of the blog. Simply uncover. I think I need a place to share my thoughts and life, and I miss being able to write about it.
